What changed: we now use advertising cookies on this website; §3 and §7 now say so, name which advertising partners receive data and how to opt out, and §11 now describes how we treat browser do-not-track and opt-out signals. What did not change: the company you contract with, pricing, refunds, arbitration, or the personal data we collect to produce your reports.

Ampian AI ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the highest standards of data security. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our application and services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us to provide the Ampian AI Service. This information includes:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, and password credentials.
  • Billing Information: We use secure, PCI-compliant third-party payment processors to handle transactions. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. We maintain records of your subscription tier, transaction history, and credit balances.
  • Property Data Inputs: The specific home addresses you search for, alongside any financial parameters or what-if scenario variables you input into the Forecaster tool.
  • Usage Data: Information regarding how you interact with the app, such as access times, device information, and reports generated.

Ampian AI is operated by LibeFI LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect strictly for operational purposes to provide, maintain, and improve our services. We use the information to:

  • Generate the Permit & Zoning Oracle and True Cost Forecaster reports.
  • Manage your account, subscription billing, and credit balances.
  • Improve, train, and refine our AI predictive models (see AI Training Data clause below).
  • Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages.
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and requests, and provide customer service.
  • Monitor and analyze trends, usage, and activities in connection with our Services.

AI Training Data: By using the Service, you grant Ampian AI a perpetual, royalty-free license to use anonymized and aggregated derivatives of your property data inputs to train, refine, and improve our AI predictive models. "Anonymized derivatives" means data that has been stripped of personally identifiable information, full street addresses, and individually-attributable financial details, and that has been aggregated across multiple users such that no individual user's inputs can be reconstructed. Real-time inference inputs (the data used to generate the report you requested) are NOT retained for training purposes and are subject to the retention windows in §8 (Data Retention). Because anonymized derivatives are non-identifying, individual opt-out from training contribution is not available; users who do not consent to this license should refrain from using the Service.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, marketers, or real estate brokers. We may share the information we collect about you only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: With trusted vendors, consultants, and other service providers (such as cloud hosting and payment processors) who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf, under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal Compliance: In response to a request for information if we believe disclosure is in accordance with, or is otherwise required by, any applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
  • With Your Consent: With your consent or at your explicit direction.
  • Advertising and Analytics Partners: With advertising partners such as Google and Meta, who receive limited technical information about your visit — your IP address, the address of the page you are viewing, and advertising cookie identifiers — so that we can measure our advertising and show Ampian AI ads to people who have visited our website. This is described in full in §7.

4. Data Security Standard

We treat your data with the strict security standards expected of financial technology platforms to protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

  • Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit using TLS 1.3 or higher, and data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
  • Access Controls: We enforce strict principle-of-least-privilege access controls within our organization. User data is isolated and protected against unauthorized internal and external access.
  • Infrastructure Security: Our systems are continuously monitored for vulnerabilities, ensuring that your property inquiries and financial scenario planning remain entirely confidential.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, request corrections to inaccurate data, and request the deletion of your account and associated personal data.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Ampian AI uses essential cookies and similar technologies to authenticate users, maintain login sessions, and remember user preferences.

Ampian AI also uses advertising and measurement technologies on this website. We work with advertising partners such as Google and Meta. We use information about your visit — the pages you view and whether you created an account or bought a report — to understand which of our advertisements brought people to us, and to show Ampian AI advertisements later to people who have already visited www.ampian.ai. Third-party vendors, including Google, show our ads on sites across the Internet. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and/or device identifiers to serve ads based on someone's past visits to www.ampian.ai. These advertising cookies are not essential: refusing them does not stop you using Ampian AI.

Advertising cookies that this technology sets on www.ampian.ai last about three months. Cookies set in your browser by Google's own advertising domains can last up to about two years, and about thirteen months for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Meta states about ninety days for the cookie that records which advertisement you clicked, and states no lifetime at all for the other cookie its pixel sets, so we do not state one either. Some last only a few minutes and exist solely to check whether cookies work at all. Exact names and lifetimes are set by the partner and can change, so we describe them rather than list them.

You can opt out of advertising cookies at any time. Turn on Global Privacy Control in a browser or extension that supports the GPC signal — when Ampian AI receives that signal, we instruct Google not to use cookies or advertising identifiers for your visit, and we do not load Meta's pixel at all, so Meta receives nothing from your visit. You can opt out of Google's use of cookies or device identifiers for advertising in Google Ads Settings. Industry opt-out information and tools are published by the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings, or use your device's own advertising controls. Ampian AI does not sell your personal information, and none of these choices affects your account or the reports you have already bought.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are treated by default as having refused advertising and analytics cookies: Google's tag still loads, but it is instructed not to store or read cookies or advertising identifiers for those visitors, and Meta's pixel is not loaded at all. We recognise those visitors from the time zone their own browser reports, which is the only signal we have without adding a service that looks up where you are. It is not exact: some visitors this paragraph describes will not be recognised, and some visitors outside those countries will be treated as if they were inside them.

Ampian AI uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and to see which websites refer visitors to us. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device — no local storage, no session storage, no device fingerprint — and it does not follow you to other websites or build a profile of you. Your IP address and browser type are visible to Cloudflare while a page view is being counted, which is how aggregate country and browser statistics are produced.

8. Data Retention

Ampian AI retains personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service and comply with legal obligations. Retention windows by data category:

  • Account information (name, email, password): retained while the account is active; deleted thirty (30) days after account closure, consistent with the data-retention window in the Terms of Service §11 (Data retention after termination).
  • Property data inputs (addresses, financial parameters, what-if scenarios): retained while the account is active; deleted thirty (30) days after account closure.
  • Billing and transaction records: retained for seven (7) years from the date of the transaction to comply with U.S. federal tax recordkeeping requirements (IRS recordkeeping guidance).
  • Usage logs and device/access metadata: retained on a rolling ninety (90) day window, then permanently deleted.
  • Anonymized and aggregated derivatives (as defined in §2, AI Training Data): retained indefinitely because such derivatives contain no personally identifiable information and cannot be associated with any individual user.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to or intended for children. Ampian AI does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of thirteen (13) (United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, 15 U.S.C. §6501 et seq.) or, more broadly, from any user under the age of eighteen (18), as required by the Terms of Service §14 (Eligibility). If Ampian AI becomes aware that personal information has been collected from a user under these age thresholds, that account will be terminated under the Terms of Service §11 (For-cause termination) and the associated personal data will be deleted in accordance with §8 above.

10. Security Breach Notification

In the event of a security breach affecting the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of personal data, Ampian AI will notify affected users without unreasonable delay and consistent with the requirements of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 93H (Security Breach Notification Law) and any other applicable U.S. state breach-notification statutes. Notification will be made via the account email of record and will describe the nature of the breach, the categories of personal data involved, and the protective steps users may take in response.

11. Do Not Track Signals

Some web browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to indicate that the user does not wish to be tracked. Ampian AI does not currently process "Do Not Track" signals, but we do honor Global Privacy Control ("GPC") opt-out preference signals in connection with the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies for advertising and related purposes on the Service, as described in §7. Ampian AI discloses this in accordance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA, Business & Professions Code §22575 et seq.).

12. Marketing and Communications

Ampian AI sends transactional emails (including security alerts, report-ready notifications, account-status messages, and billing communications) that are necessary for the operation of the Service and cannot be opted out of while an account is active. Ampian AI does not currently send promotional or marketing emails. If Ampian AI sends promotional or marketing emails in the future, each such email will include an unsubscribe link, and users may also opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting Ampian AI through the Contact page. Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not affect the delivery of transactional emails.

13. Modification of This Privacy Policy

Ampian AI reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. Users will be notified of material changes by email to their account address or by in-app notice. The "Effective Date" at the top of this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect the date of the most recent material change. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of any such change constitutes acceptance of the modified Privacy Policy.
