When I bought my first home, I made a decision that many homebuyers can probably relate to: I chose it based on “vibes.” It wasn’t because I didn’t care about making the right decision. I really wanted to make an informed decision, but conducting a proper pre-purchase analysis was much harder than I expected because everything had to be done manually. It took a lot of time and effort to research the property, understand the numbers, and estimate the true cost of homeownership. At some point, I simply gave up and went with my gut.

The house I bought ended up giving me a lot of headaches because I had underestimated the costs of owning it.
